G Medicare Supplements!

If Medicare supplement plan F is the king of Medicare supplements then Medigap plan G could be its queen. They have quite a bit in common. In fact they are almost identical except that Medicare supplement G does not cover the part B deductible while Medigap plan F does.

When you are between the ages of 65 to about 75 you'll typically find that any savings you might see in choosing a plan G versus a plan F is typically only slightly more than the cost of the deductible. So, if you're 75 or younger you will likely find plan F more attractive. This is only a fairly consistent general rule of thumb. So, be sure to have your GoMedigap agent explore other options for you as well.

If you're over the age of 75 you'll likely start to gravitate to plan G because it costs a fair amount less than plan F and only has you exposed to the Medicare part B deductible. When you do the math you'll typically find that G makes more sense.
