      The main difference between Plan F and Plan G is that Plan F covers all of your remaining Medicare-approved expenses, including your deductibles, excess charges and coinsurance. Plan G, however, covers everything except the Part B deductible (which is $183 for 2017). Depending on your specific situation and health care needs, either plan could make sense for you. Plan G typically offers a lower premium since it does not offer the “full coverage” that Plan F offers. However, many of our clients choose the Plan G because the savings from the lower premium typically outweighs the $183 that you will pay for the Part B deductible.
